The older millennial girl who was into emo music, MSN Messenger, MySpace, Pizza Hut buffet lunches, pop-punk, brightly coloured Converse, had strong opinions about which Harry Potter house she belonged in (Ravenclaw), and now runs a successful business.
Hi, I’m Jade Tremarco, strategic brand designer, website creator, professional overthinker and founder of Hashtag.
I help brilliant women in business build brands that finally reflect the calibre of their work.
Because here’s the thing… Most businesses don’t have a visibility problem, they have a clarity problem.
Their expertise, confidence, and business has evolved, but their branding, website, and online presence are still representing an older version of who they are.
That’s where I come in.
As an older millennial, I learned HTML by customising MySpace profiles in the early 2000s. IYKYK. There was always a carefully chosen profile song, far too much time spent tweaking code, and yes, at least one black-and-white emo profile picture…
What started as curiosity eventually became a career.
In 2010, I joined the family business and spent nearly a decade learning web design, graphic design, branding, social media and print management. In 2019, I took the leap and launched Hashtag.
Since then, I’ve worked with businesses across a wide range of industries, helping them create brands and websites that not only look better, but communicate more clearly, attract the right people and give them the confidence to show up properly.
Over the years, Hashtag has had more rebrands, websites and social media makeovers than I’d care to admit. I’ve tested things, broken things, followed trends, ignored trends and learned a lot along the way… Which means my clients don’t have to.
Today, Hashtag is built on a simple belief:
You shouldn’t have to spend every conversation convincing people you’re good at what you do. Your brand should be doing some of that heavy lifting for you.
